The idea for this cultural centre located in a park was to create not an architectural object, but a geological formation in order to hide the imposing building. The program’s elements are dispersed in a park like rocks. Each “rock”, a concrete hermetic block with no windows, contains a specific program element (library, concert hall, music school, exhibition space). Semi transparent hall from woven aluminum stripes contains “in-between” space winding through the archipelago. Public space and circulation twist in between these rocks. An alternative path over the Cultural center passes on the roof. The project aims to reconsider the “main” and “serving” or “secondary” space.
